Catching up n’ looking forward…

A’ight! So, a few weeks ago on Facebook, I said this is where Atomic would be going into chrysalis mode to sleep for the rest of the summer before bustin’ out with ((( send + receive ))) in early October then hitting it big with a grand opening shin dig on October 27.  But, now there’s a chance something might happen on September 23, and maybe something else on October 1… we’re not sure yet, but we’ll keep you posted!

In any case, mark October 27 on your calendars and get your costumes ready cuz we’re going to have a riproarin’ party headlined by Friendly Rich and the Lolipop People and Terrorist. Another band is still being lined up and there will be some kickin’ performance, to boot! Whoo!

In the meantime, I want to thank Winnipeg Arcades Project for a fantastic collaboration! Summer 2011 Exhibition was one hell of a smart show and delivered a satisfying intersectional look at the Youth for Christ Centre for Excellence, the Canadian Human Rights Museum, and Sam Katz’ notorious unbuilt waterpark vs. questions of privatization, colonization, and class. Photos from the opening and closing receptions can be found here, in addition to the few below…

On behalf of WAP, Owen writes:
